A page of "Firsts". The first "packing" scene included two of my top picks from all the horses I've worked with. Charcoal (saddle horse)was a tiny little mare, that could out run the entire herd. The big buckskin was "Bugs", a top Saddle Bronc on the Rodeo circut during the "off season".

"UNTITLED"
My first Elk painting. As a hunter and guide, this is the way I always dream of finding a big bull - bedded down and facing away. The location is a spot that I've often found elk bedded (just off the top of the "gorge" rim).

"HISTORIC REFLECTIONS"
"Best of Show" winner at a County Fair, this was not only my first award, but also my first "published" piece. As a result of winning, it was in a calendar.
