 Bowens TriliteThis unique continuous light source utilises a specially designed fluorescent lamp to produce cold illumination that is directional. Although there are a number of multilamp cold fluorescent models available on the market, none but the Trilite offers directional abilities. The combination of the three 30W fluorescent lamps with their bright efficient reflector gives the Trilite the directional abilities of a normal reflector-type lamp with the advantages of cool operation that only a fluorescent light source can offer. The light output of the Trilite is the equivalent of 275W of tungsten light. When used close to a subject, this will produce a significant level of illumination. Since the light itself is a cold source, it can be used to shoot any subject that may be affected by the high levels of heat associated with a tungsten lamp, such as food. The Trilite is perfect as a low-cost continuous light source for digital scanning and single-capture cameras.
