Civil War Irish Brigade "Irish Brigate at Antietam

"THE IRISH BRIGADE AT ANTIETAN" An American Civil War collectible, "Raise the Colors and Follow Me," by Mort Kunstler. The artwork depicts the Union General Thomas Meagher leading his "Irish Brigade" against General Robert E. Lee's forces in the battle of Antietan, on September 17, 1862. The excellent artwork is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to a brass bugle like that which would be worn on the cap of a Civil War infantryman. Included also in the picture is an authentic Civil War Centennial Shiloh stamp which was issued April 7, 1963. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
