LighthouseDID YOU KNOW?
The classic lighthouse, first built in Boston
Harbor in 1716, is a relic of the past. Still,
thousands travel yearly to visit those that
have been restored and to climb as many as
300 steps to reach the top and view the
"fresnel" lens. Pictured here is another "find"
for lighthouse collectors looking for something
different. Framed in solid oak, the picture measures
17 1/2 x 17 inches and is matted in 3 colors.
The First Day Cover (envelope) and stamp are one of 10 famous
lighthouses honored by the US Postal Service.
Included also is a pewter lighthouse.
Envelopes and stamps will vary. |
