All the fun in the sun can be had on Waikiki Beaches. Surf lessons, Giant Air mattresses, Kayaking, just for starters.

The only REAL insider thing to know about Hawaii Beaches is that they are all open to the public, even if a 5-star hotel sits at the back of the beach area. The insider trick is to know where the opening is to get to the beach without going through the hotel.

Beach pass through: On the Diamond Head side of the Hilton Hawaiian Village is a small path that will lead you to the beach.
Actually, from the Diamond Head Side of the Moana Surfrider Hotel through Kapiolani Park, there are numerous open spaces to step diectly on the Sands of Waikiki.

Waikiki is made up of 7 beaches. They stretch one and a half miles long. Beaches start at The Hilton Hawaiian Village and end at Sans Souci Beach at the base of Diamond Head.

Everything you ever wanted to do on a beach for fun is available. Paddle an outrigger canoe, learn to surf, take out an aqua cycle, go parasailing, wind surfing, to just name a few of the many activities available on the beaches of Waikiki.
