As many communties have used most of the "flat-land" available, development of hillside areas is rapidly increasing. This creates a need for retaining walls and reinforced, steeper slopes. DWR is poised to effectively respond to this challange.
We have designed numerous segmented block walls (Eg. Keystone, AnchorWall) up to 23 ft. high. Approximately 6 years ago, we determined that hillside developments would require lower cost, more environmentally friendly solutions. We have developed considerable expertise in designing slopes and retaining walls using "bioengineering." This approach uses plants, boulders, and some geotextile reinforcement to meet the hillside challange.
